The purpose was to liven up the space with bold colors and engaging artwork while relating to the school's diversity. LEFT: Names of Geographic areas along with matching patterns are interwoven in the background with the outline of DC in the foreground. A strong diagonal shape crosses from first to second banner. RIGHT: Childrens' hands are supperimposed over 50 flags from students' countries. Smaller hands are featured at the bottom to represent the lower grades. The size (grade level) increases at the top.
